The Steering Committee has primary responsibility to oversee the conduct of the project and play a supervisory role to the Secretariat that is responsible for the day to day running of the project.
It is also pro-active, especially in earlier stages, to advice the secretariat on a range of operational issues, as well as hold the secretariat accountable for decisions, actions or lack of actions.
