PROFESSOR. ERIK BONGAM-RUDLOFF
Dr. Erik Bongcam-Rudloff is a Professor of Bioinformatics and the head of SLU-Global Bioinformatics Centre at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, (SLU).
Dr. Bongcam-Rudloff’s work concerns bioinformatics, the analysis of large amounts of biological and genetic data. His research mainly deals with the development of bioinformatics solutions for the life sciences community. Prof. Bongcam-Rudloff’s applications are found within research areas such as animal breeding, computing in mathematics, natural science, engineering and medicine. Dr. Bongcam-Rudloff develops and manages complex multidisciplinary network projects both in and outside Europe. His main research deals with the development of bioinformatics solutions for the Life Sciences community. Prof.Bongcam-Rudloff is also the coordinator of the EU-Horizon2020 B3Africa project and vice chair for the EU COST project CHARME: “Harmonising standardisation strategies to increase efficiency and competitiveness of European life-science research”.
