data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Eastern Africa Network of Bioinformatics Training (EANBiT) is a collaborative network that strives to strengthen the application of Bioinformatics in biosciences research through individual training, research mentorship and enhancing institutional capacity in Eastern Africa.\u00a0EANBiT has collaborated with three universities namely; Pwani University, Makerere University and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences and four research institutes which are\u00a0<span class=\"lowericipe\"><i>icipe<\/i><\/span>, KEMRI-Wellcome Trust, UVRI and BecA-ILRI Hub, in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.<\/p><p>The EANBiT Bioinformatics master&#8217;s program is two years where the first year is course work which comprises of; Foundation Modules in Bioinformatics at partner universities (Pwani University, Makerere University and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences) and a 5 week residential training program. In addition, the final year encompasses the Research Project. This covers a 6-month project and a 3-month write up dissertation at partner research institutes (<span class=\"lowericipe\"><i>icipe<\/i><\/span>, KEMRI-Wellcome Trust, UVRI and BecA-ILRI Hub).
